Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our team in California. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical work, construction, and experience with solar energy systems. This position involves installing solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial properties while ensuring compliance with safety standards and local building codes.

Responsibilities

Install solar panels and associated electrical equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.

Work with high and low voltage systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Conduct fixture installations and ensure proper electrical connections.

Safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and ladders on construction sites.
Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure efficient project completion.

Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to guarantee optimal performance.

Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols to minimize job site risks.

Qualifications

Proven experience in solar PV system installation.

Familiarity with California building codes, permitting processes, and local inspection standards.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

NABCEP certification or equivalent is a strong plus.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, including NEC regulations.

Roofing experience preferred.

Familiarity with basic plumbing and conduit bending is a plus.

Proficient with hand and power tools; experience using scaffolds and lifts safely.

Prior construction site experience is required.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions as part of a team.
